On Christmas day we went to Island Park to spend the rest of the week with Derik's family. The drive was not to bad considering the bad weather the only real problem we had was trying to find somewhere to eat lunch along the way. No one was open. We ended up having to have lunch from Flying J. YUCK! We made it just before dark and it was crazy to see all the snow. We were told that Island Park had received 2 1/2 feet (in the 2 days pervious to our arrival) and it snowed at least another foot before we left.
The picture above is Derik using the snowblower. The wind came up the first night and nearly closed in the driveway to the cabin. He had a lot of fun. There were cabins near by where the snow was 3/4 the way up the garage doors. It was sure easy to tell if any one had been there recently.
It was a really relaxing time. We enjoyed lots of good food, watched a lot of movies, played games, put together puzzles, and snowmobiled. Thanks Darris and Dixie for a great time.
